If their power remains the same and DoT is as devastating as it was, how does it correspond to this nerf fest?Īrmor change is meaningless, in practice it doesn’t matter at all about the survivability in ultimate. I didn’t read in the notes about adjustments to monster damage and abilities. I had a melee spellbreaker planned, but I’ll be putting that on hold because there is just no way I’d survive. I on principle don’t play them because it’s just too volatile for HC. I can’t even imagine melee builds at the moment. The fact that everyone is complaining about being less able to survive on ultimate is proof that everyone is in some part using a large majority of the constellations you nerfed into the ground. Maybe if you heavily buffed offensive constellations to make people more resilient that would help, but it would defeat the object of it being an “offensive constellation”, assuming that concept is relevant (That’s up to you guys I guess). Even if offensive constellations were more attractive I wouldn’t take them because I wouldn’t be able to survive. Assassin’s Blade, Widow, Solael’s Witchblade, etc. Who wants extra % damage when you’re already rocking 700 - 1000% of your damage type and getting your ass kicked on ultimate? The only offensive contellations worth it are ones which offer utility/resist reduction i.e. Offensive constellations are absolute garbage. This is true for all the best builds out there in my experience. It doesn’t matter if you are an offensive or tank type character you will always take defensive constellations in order to survive on ultimate. See, with regard to ulimate survivability, one of your key assumptions is flawed. Previously I considered Wendigo, but now it’s complete garbage and I’d never take it on any character. Prior to 1.0.0.2 I had a vitality build which had tree of life and it survived fine. Mark of the Wendigo is not the only way vitality builds can survive. I don’t mean that as an insult, but rather I say it with all sincerity. However posts like this make me worry that you don’t know your own game. Epic/Legendary weapon and belt requirements increased. If builds that do not go heavy tank are still struggling to survive (so far that may be the case), the most likely place this will be buffed is in non-Defensive Constellations.Ī couple of issues that were missed before this build went live that will be addressed: Survivability on Ultimate: nerfs to certain Defensive Constellations were absolutely warranted, but will continue to monitor the overall balance. Vitality builds: If Mark of the Wendigo is the only way to play a Vitality build, then that is probably a more broad issue, but the cooldown will be reduced as more sweeping changes are unlikely to happen in the near future, though I would be happy to hear some views on where Vitality builds are struggling. Overall, adding this to their loot pool is a good direction, but the rate will need to be toned down. Treasure Troves: Granting a guaranteed rare material may be a bit too generous in the longterm. In regards to some points brought up here…
